Blackened Seasoning for Chicken, Fish or Beef

  • 1 part onion powder
  • 1 part garlic powder
  • 1 part salt
  • 2 parts paprika
  • ½ part ground white pepper
  • ¼ part cayenne pepper
  • ½ part dried thyme
  • ½ part ground black pepper
  • ½ part dried basil
  • ½ part dried oregano

Mix all ingredients. Dredge the items to be blackened in oil or butter, and then in the blackening seasoning. Place in a very hot pan. Cooks quickly, so keep an eye out!
